The 1st Texas Infantry Company "A" is now accepting applications to be part of an established and nationally recognized and respected re-enactment unit. We primarily re-enact Confederate infantry and focus on a portrayal of the common Southern Soldier in the Army of Northern Virginia circa 1862-1864. Our primary study is life of the common soldier in the most authentic way possible. For this reason, we are not a family oriented unit. We are a progressive campaign style unit with our camps on our backs. We are a Southern California based unit with members from all over the state. You must have a love of Civil War History be willing to commit to re-enacting primarily Confederate infantry and be in reasonably good physical condition. We have no other political agenda other than the enjoyment and study of the Life of the Common Soldier of the Civil War. We have plenty of extra gear to loan and are willing to help out new recruits in any way possible.
Good friends!! Good fun!!!!
If this sounds like a unit for you, come join us!!
